Since I am getting into responsive and adaptive web design, I scoured Google for a sketchbook that would accommodate nice gridded or printed boxes that allowed me to sketch quick wireframed states for mobile and desktop screen sizes. I didn’t find much out there; so I decided to make my own. I like to sketch ideas and prototypes in Moleskine sketchbooks. I took one of those cheap plastic folders and cut a three box template out of it with a scalpel. It fits perfectly on a Moleskine Watercolor A4 notebook, which lets me draw three different screen size boxes to sketch content states in.
I trimmed down the template to fit in the back pocket of the Moleskine also so I have it wherever I go. Its nothing pretty, but works for my needs.
The content ideas on these screens were for Mod Mobile’s new website which has an adaptive layout.

I’m glad that more than one good thing came out of our website project!
